City girl gone ‘burbs, my early childhood was spent in the East New York section of Brooklyn, not the safest of neighborhoods. Upon hearing at the age of 7 that we were moving to a NJ suburb to a lot that was 50 X 100 – I told all my friends we were moving to a farm and every picture was covered with green grass.

Graduated from Penn State University in Graphic Design, got the big job in the city, married, divorced, and found a little cottage on a lake. While out with a friend, I met my husband in 2003. We moved to the horse farms of Long Valley, New Jersey; our home is a 1865 colonial listed on the National Historic Registry. It creeks, yes, sometimes it talks and it feels like a warm hug when you step inside. I hate the 1 1/2 hour commute but wouldn’t trade the benefits our two year old son already reaps from being here – close to tons of family.

We have two absolutely naughty Hurricane Katrina rescue dogs named Moose and Mr. Miagi & a17 year old cat named Monster who has braved all my life changes right by my side.  I’m a co-founder of an advertising agency (S3) and I helped co-found an all-natural snack food (Wingers). After renovating our scary bathroom, we’re biting the bullet and beginning renovations on our kitchen this fall. I’ve done everything from riding an acrobatic biplane to being a volunteer fire photographer to attending candle parties. Candle party proved to be the scariest!
