I have three kids; 2 that are young teens (what bliss) and a second grader. I also have a life of drama and I guarantee that if you heard it all, you would roll your eyes and think "how can all of that possibly have happened to one person"? Trust me, my friends, neighbors and even close family think it all the time. Many years ago, they STOPPED saying "well it can't get any worse" because it always did.
Suffice to say, I have had about 16 years of major, life-changing events and if I didn't laugh about it-well, who would? I don't always laugh about it all-but on stronger days I try. Tempered with the laughs is the firm belief that this life is a journey for all of us-and in reality we are just passing through. Make the best of what you've got, right? Someday it will make sense-or not matter at all. Ya.
So in addition to the role of "mom", I also own a marketing and public relations business. This week, I secured two interviews with celebrities for client promotion. One is an Oscar-Nominated Actress and the other a Food Network Star and author. It was fun and I got a little star struck-oops. I am also an author and a national freelance writer.
Yes, my blog posts here will be further proof that you can't be in or near my life without ending up as a character or example in my writing. Sorry, guys.
